I am running because our communities cannot afford the increasing property tax burden forced on us by state policies and the downshifting of state obligations onto our local property tax bill. The legislature needs to meet its responsibility to determine and implement an equitable method of funding public schools as required by the New Hampshire Constitution and several court decisions.
Selectman for Town of Newport since 2007. Representing Newport as a Commissioner at Upper Valley Lake Sunapee. Regional Planning Commission since 2009. Member of Newport’s Zoning Board of Adjustment. Former Newport School Board member. Former Newport School District employee, Technology Coordinator for 10 years. Married to retired New Hampshire public school teacher.
